The Farming Social Hub (FSH) provides a community platform where farmers, growers and producers can tell their stories to the general public. As hosts, Sarah Juggins and Charlie Lankfer have made it their mission to demystify agriculture, to celebrate British Farming and to bring the public closer to where much of their food comes from. The popular and informative podcast, backed up by the website and social media channels – is the medium through which FSH tells farmers’ and growers’ stories.

There is also a members-only community chat room – Chew the Cud– where farmers and those working in a agriculture can raise issues, debate matters and generally talk about farming and agriculture to those who work in and truly understand the sector.

The Marketplace Page highlights some of the brilliant produce that is being grown, made, reared or created using British agricultural products. Each entry will tell you about the producer, his or her story, a link to the relevant podcast episode or interview and a link to the producer’s own website. In many cases, visitors to the site can follow and celebrate the amazing journey the product has taken as it has made its way from the farms and fields to your shopping basket.

FEATURED

Farming Social Hub founder Sarah Juggins was born into a Norfolk farming family and, after a time spent working elsewhere, has found her way back to her roots. An award-winning writer and journalist, Sarah is combining those communication skills with her innate agricultural knowledge to follow a dual path as an agricultural commentator and a livestock farmer.

Charlie Lankfer is co-host on the Farming Social Hub podcast, where he offers expert agricultural advice, gleaned from his current work as a grain trader with ADM as well as a lifetime spent working in various roles within agriculture. Charlie combines strong opinions, an in-depth knowledge and a deep passion for UK farming – this can mean he is prone to ‘rural rants’.
