The Farming Social Hub - a voice for the farming community

First Farming Social Hub event

The Farming Social Hub

In an exciting move, the Farming Social Hub is launching its physical presence with an evening of food and farming talk in September.

Until now, the Farming Social Hub has been connecting the world of agriculture with the general public through its weekly, hour-long podcast and radio show on KL1 Radio and Radio Lincolnshire.

On Thursday 9 September, at 7pm, the first live event will take place, incorporating a panel discussion with local representatives from across the agricultural community, presentations from DEFRA and the Rural Payments Agency and the chance for a more informal chat over a burger and beer.

The evening – ‘Farming – What the Future Holds’ will take place in a unique venue – the Tipi in the Paddock – at West Bilney. Renowned local chef Matthew Owsley-Brown will be preparing the food, which includes posh burgers and even posher chips, and the beer will be locally-produced using Norfolk’s finest ingredients.

Speakers include DEFRA Head of Co-Design Neville Cavendish and a representative from the Rural Payments Agency.

The panel will be announced in due course.

Tickets, which includes burgers and beer, will cost £10, the proceeds going to farming charity YANA. Please contact Sarah directly to book your place: sarah@farmingsocialhub.co.uk
