The Farming Social Hub - a voice for the farming community

The Aylsham Show: a great showcase for Norfolk Farming

On the Farming Social Hub podcast, available via the podcast section on this website or on KL1 Radio as a catch up show, we talk to Will de Feyter who is one of the organising committee at the Aylsham Show.

After a Covid-induced hiatus, the show is back, bigger and better than before. As Will explains, there is a real hunger among the farming community for an agricultural show that has maintained its core as place where the farming community can get together at the end of harvest and just have a bit of a celebration after a busy few months. The Aylsham Show has been a regular on the Norfolk farming calendar for 70 years and thousands are expected to attend this year.

The show has all the old favourites, plus some new visiting attractions. There are now two rings, the Main Ring and the new Countryside Ring. Check out all the details of the show here.

The one-day show takes place at Blickling Hall on Monday 29 August. It kicks off at 8am, with livestock judging, machinery displays, gun-dogs displays, sheep shearing and a heap of other events, attractions and exhibitions. There is also a huge range of food and drink options, with a real focus on local produce.

The Farming Social Hub hosts, Sarah Juggins and Charlie Lankfer will be commentating in the Countryside Ring, so pop in and say hi.
