The Farming Social Hub - a voice for the farming community

Top award for techno champ

Dr Belinda Clarke, the director of Agri-TechE has been awarded one of the highest honours by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA).

The Timothy Colman Prize, which is awarded as a way of recognising exceptional contribution to the development of food, farming and the countryside,  was awarded to Clarke at the RNAA AGM last week.

Clarke, who is a guest on the Farming Social Hub podcast on Sunday 2 October (KL1 Radio) leads an independent business cluster which brings together farmers and growers with scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs. It is those leadership skills that have been recognised in this award.

RNAA chairman Robert Alston said: ‘The award of the Timothy Colman Prize to Dr Clarke is recognition of her tireless energy and commitment to harness the collective power of the agri-tech sector.

‘Her support to this sector, and more widely, to highlight opportunities and to overcome challenges, has been exceptional.’
